A report from FundForum International found that investors are still finding growth in areas of the world, while managing looming uncertainty.
The report, which can be read here, discussed a number of areas which asset managers are monitoring in relation to global growth.
These areas included:
If changes in monetary policy and the negative effects of trade wars will continue and how bad they will impact asset management; if slowing growth in Asia, but promising growth in the US and Europe will carry on. Higher volatility and the effects of climate change were also high on the agenda.
Taking a more positive road, opportunities in China and ESG being implemented to build public trust were speaking points. Ultimately, the question whether ESG will drive policy was debated.
