Which digital solutions have companies implemented within the different areas/functions of their business or product range?

In which areas/functions within your business or product range have you implemented or are planning to implement AI/digital solutions?

AI and digital solutions have clearly been implemented in different areas of business at different rates. Whilst a third of respondents have 'fully implemented' them in their regulatory/quality management system, just 14% have within their product range. For both functions, nearly 90% at least have a plan to implement.

What types of AI/digital solutions have you implemented or plan to implement?

When looking at the types of AI/digital solutions being implemented, the figure is high across all areas. However, some interesting comparisons emerge between Europe and North America, with the latter far more focused on the product portfolio and far less on the regulatory side.

What types of AI/digital solutions have you implemented or plan to implement?

Looking more closely at this data, we can see which specific solutions companies are focusing on at the moment.

Electronic quality management systems (11%), general business information systems (10%) and mobile apps (10%) lead the way in solutions that have already been implemented. Digital health applications (15%) and AI or machine learning applications (13%) and the top solutions respondents are currently in the process of implementing.
