So what does the year have in store for private markets and how is it faring amidst the ongoing challenges and economic downturn?
“There's no doubt that private equity has its challenges because it's harder to raise money, harder to invest money, harder to get financing and so forth. But on the whole, the industry's not in bad shape," says Rubenstein, highlighting that people need to be realistic as some are still struggling to recover from covid. However, Rubenstein remains optimistic about the state of the industry, the years to come and the development of key investment sectors.
