Well, what a year we have had so far… The effects of the COVID-19 pandemic are being felt across all industries, including the life science sector. The already complicated cell & gene therapy supply chain and production process has been feeling the strain, as manufacturers work to ensure that they have access to raw materials and therapies for patients.
But one thing that is for sure, is the resilience of our sector, and the ability for cell and gene therapies to continue to push the boundaries of science.
And despite COVID-19 it has been a strong year to date for the industry - to name a few milestones:
• 5+ cell and gene therapy companies have gone public since the beginning of the year • Numerous public and private financings raising $100M+ (80% of which happened in the US after the stay at home order began) • The use of viral vectors in certain COVID-19 vaccine development programs could lead to more demand for scaled-up manufacturing capabilities
It is clear that meeting, networking, bench marking and partnering are all key to success, and while not in person (unfortunately) we really hope that this week of virtual content will provide our collective Cell & Gene therapy community with an opportunity to gain the knowledge and connections needed.

From Monday, October 19th, there will be up to 4 concurrent presentations being broadcast simultaneously during the scheduled times noted in the agenda (Eastern Standard Time), with live speaker Q&A sessions.
