A Recipe for Data-driven Therapeutic Discovery: Advances, Ingredients, and Applications
Nestor Vasquez Bernat, Application Science Team Lead at ENPICOM
Therapeutic discovery has rapidly changed with recent advances in high-throughput sequencing, B cell screening, and computational methods. These technologies can synergize to help find binders for harder targets. We will discuss some relevant advances and the key ingredients for integrating the data they help generate. The combination of these improvements has the capacity to accelerate biological discovery for challenging targets and data-driven discovery will facilitate it.
Discussed:
Recent advances in antibody sequencing, wet-lab, and computational screening
Challenges of integrating these different components into an effective workflow
Key ingredients to leverage these technologies
Practical application of data-driven antibody discovery
As an Application Science Team Lead at ENPICOM, Néstor focuses on analyzing customer requirements, and project setup, management, and execution. During his PhD in Immunology, he isolated and expressed monoclonal antibodies after vaccinations and developed high-throughput sequencing library preparation protocols for B cell repertoires in humans, non-human primates, and other animal models.
